 Crash Bandicoot (or
simply referred to as crash) is a popular video game character who was
designed by Charles Zembillas and Joe Pearson and created by Naughty Dog.
Crash Bandicoot was originally a wombat called Willy Wombat but the design
team scraped the idea and renamed the character crash (because crash tends
to break crates etc) bandicoot (because they changed the characters
species)
The Crash series has sold
over 35 million copies world wide, making it the 16th best-selling game
franchise of all time. The series is mostly known for platforming games (7
out of the 14 crash games), but Crash has also had various spin off
titles, which includes racing, party games and the latest game, Crash of
the titans is a Beat 'em Up.
Dr. Neo Cortex is a evil
scientist who actually created the bandicoot
 using
the Volvo ray, which crash was going to be leader of an army. But the
machine failed and ever since, Crash in most games, has to save the world
from Cortex. Cortex created Crash and he regrets it so much!
The series has a very
popular fan base which is why there are hundreds of crash sites (including
this one) over the internet. People have different opinions, some like the
classic games, some like the new games and some like the whole crash
series. Crash Bandicoot is now over 10 years old now, which the series has
now become more popular than ever.
