Jeremy
Clarkson was born 11th April 1960 in Doncaster and currently lives in
Chipping Norton with his wife and 3 children. Clarkson is mostly known for
presenting the popular motoring show Top Gear, but he has also presented
other shows as well. And for this, he
won the 2007 National Television Awards' Special Recognition Award.
Clarkson
writes and presents his ideas about cars mainly, but he also writes about
just about any thing, with the release of "the world according to clarkson"
book.
On Top Gear, Jeremy presents the show with his co-presenters Richard Hammond and James
May. Clarkson is a well-known Journalist and writer as he publishes
columns weekly in the Sunday times and the sun, which in time, get turned
into Books. (click here for a list)
Despite,
what Jeremy does for a living, (basically he drives round the Top Gear test
track using the latest super cars really fast) he has a clean driving
Licence, which he states often in the show. Jeremy has owned many cars in
the past, which most notably were his ford GT and his current Lamborghini
Murcielago spyder. Well he might have his favourite cars, Clarkson is
known for destroying
his least favourite.

Richard Hammond
|
Richard Hammond was born 19
December 1969 and lives in Gloucestershire with his wife "Mindy" and two daughters
- Izzy and Willow.
He started his career working on various radio stations, but he then started
appearing on daytime lifestyle shows, noticeably
of
Brainiac: Science Abuse for the first 4 seasons. He joined the Top gear team in 2002 and has stayed there ever since.
On the show, he is nicknamed the "Hamster".
Like Jeremy and James, Richard also writes
columns in the Daily mirror weekly and has a couple of books published. (click
here for a list) His most recent book, "On the edge", tells about his young
life, how he joined Top Gear and most importantly - his accident.
In
September 2006, Richard was involved in an awful accident, involving a 250mph+
jet car. What happened was front right tyre exploded, which caused the car to
spin. Richard suffered from a serious brain injury, but since then he has made a full recovery.
For more information on what happened, read the book "On the edge" by Richard
and his wife, Mindy.
Since Joining Top Gear, Richard has bought
and owned a lot of cars and bikes. At the moment, he currently owns: a
Porsche 911, a
Dodge Charger, two
Land Rovers, a
Morgan V6 Roadster,
a
Mustang GT390, a 1963
Opel Kadett (see left), several kit cars and a newly acquired
Morgan AeroMax.

James May
|
James was born 16th January 1963
in Bristol. He currently lives in London with his partner, Sarah
Frater and May's cat Fusker. James, like clarkson,
writes and publishes columns in the daily telegraph and Top Gear magazine.
James is most well known for co-presenting Top Gear, but he is
also well known for being interested in history with programs like
20th Century and My sister's top toys. He is referred to as "Captain slow"
because he has a slow and careful driving style, compared to those of Jeremy
and Richard.
James May has accoplimed quite a lot
of things while on Top Gear. In season 9 of the
show, he'd driven the 1000 brakehorse power, Bugatti Veyron up to its
top speed of 253 mph. (which is a 1/3 of the speed of sound). James
(and Jeremy) were the first people in the world to travel to the north
pole, by a Helix pick up truck. As Clarkson stated: James was "the
first person to go to the North Pole who didn't want to be there."
