The Turbo Boost is
Kitt's most widely used function. Turbo Boost is to let KITT leap over
obstacles. Depending on what setting Michael or Kitt sets, depends on
how little or how far KITT jumps. In the first season, turbo boost could
also used to get a sudden burst of speed. (similar to pursuit mode) |

Grappling Hook is used to pull KITT out of stickly situations (e.g. a

KITT or the
knight Industries two thousand, is the supercar which has artificial intelligence, loads of gadgets and can do
many other various things. KITT is a converted Pontiac Trans Am originally
released in 1982. KITT
can do over 300 miles per hour, can leap over obstacles using the turbo
boost feature, is totally indestructible and can drive by itself, using the autocruise
mode. KITT is a truly an incredible car and it still is to this day.
However,
Kitt is not the first of his kind. The original car (the prototype as he
calls himself) was KARR - the Knight Automated Roving Robot. KARR is
identical to KITT in every way - apart from its primary function of
self-preservation instead of the preservation of human life. This was a
major error and therefore Wilton had KARR deactivated and dismantled -
what Devon thought. KARR then caused havoc on two occasions in the series,
but KARR is still Kitt's greatest enemy to date.
